Each year the P&C hosts its other major fundraiser for the year, the Emerald State School Easter Fete. This is usually held on the second last Friday of Term 1.
Our Fete kicks off the festivities for the regions Central Highlands Sunflower Festival which is an important event on the regions calendar.
The attractions at each year’s Fete varies depending on the school community involved and support from the Emerald Township. Over the years we have offered cent sales, raffles, ham wheels, auctions, angry birds, tape the teacher, guess the weight of the pig & the pumpkin, cane toad races, rides, food, coffee shop, class stalls and whatever other exciting additions that the committee can think of.
Organising and running the Fete is a major undertaking and we are blessed by many parents and carers that are willing to donate their time and resources to ensure the success of this fabulous child friendly event.
