Each year in November, the P&C hosts its major fundraising event, the Emerald State School Christmas Gift & Craft Fair. Established in 1989 it has evolved over the years and is a very popular community event which continues to grow.
This event sees the local Town Hall transformed into a marketplace of vendors with homemade crafts, gifts, food and various other wares. There is something for everyone and it is a unique opportunity for locals to start their Christmas shopping with access to stallholders from near and far.
Invitations to host stalls are sent to vendors in early April each year to secure their place and we often have a waitlist of stallholder to obtain a site. The Craft Fair Committee approves each stall holder application to ensure that we gather the best product for our patrons.
This event is run by a working group of our P&C and we need many volunteers to help it be successful each year.
