The school offers English, Mathematics, Health and Physical Education, Study of Society and Environment, Music (general classroom and instrumental), Art, Science and Technology to all students in Years 1 to 7. Indonesian (LOTE) is taught to all students in Years 6 and 7. Instrumental Music Program (Woodwind, Brass and Percussion) which is offered to students in years 5, 6 and 7. We have a group of first year musicians from Year 5 who are working hard in their tutorials and in practice sessions to gain the playing skills to enable them to enter our Concert Band. Our Concert Band is currently made up of 50 students from grades 6 and 7. They perform at school functions and in the local community each year as well as participating in local competitions such as FanFare and the Central Highlands Eisteddfod. Our Concert Band has enjoyed success over the last few years at Eisteddfod winning its section each year.. Our Instrumental Music Program is supported by our Instrumental Music Program Support (IMPS) group and the P&C. Association. These groups generously provide time, transportation, general support and much needed financial support. Curriculum DeliveryTeaching approaches vary and range from single classroom with delivery by one teacher to full team teaching in double teaching spaces. In 2009 we will start the year with 16 classes - Prep A, Prep B. 1A, 1B, 2A, 2/3A, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B, 6A, 6B, 7A, 7B Specialist lessons are provided in Physical Education, The Arts and LOTE. The school caters for the individual needs of students through flexible classroom programs, learning support and special needs programs and accesses the full range of visiting support personnel. Intervention programs assist those students experiencing learning difficulties and extension programs are provided in classrooms to further develop the talents of higher achieving students.
