About the P&C PDF Print E-mail

Emerald State School's Parents & Citizens Association works in conjunction with the school to provide parents and interested citizens with a forum to voice concerns, and contribute ideas towards the improvement of the learning and social environment of students.

Each year the P&C host a number of fundraising activities aimed at raising money for projects in an around the school. In previous years, the association has contributed significantly towards playground improvements with the addition of modular playground equipment, and shade sails to protect the students.

Parents & Citizens - Fundraising

Emerald State School's P&C hosts two major fundraising events, the Emerald State School Fete, and the Craft Fair. Both of these events are extremely successful each year, and provide the basis of the P&C's revenue (links access photo Galleries Below).

These funds are then reinvested into the school and the students through the various projects and ongoing commitments that have been agreed to by the P&C body.  These  major fundraising events are always busy affairs, and despite the fact that the students and staff provide contributions to these events, Parental volunteers are always appreciated.
